5:00 a.m.

Last moments with Daddy

At 3:30 this morning my valentine and I loaded our two pajama-clad little boys and two very heavy suitcases into our car and headed toward base. By 5:00 a.m. our hero was gone.

As you can see in the picture above, we are none too happy about it. But, with God's grace, we will get through it.

I am here for you. Call me any time. I remember when Jason was in Iraq for 12 month. It was a long time. The worst of it was the first two month, then it got a little easier. Our life started to have some normality to it. And we had a great church family to count on. You got the same. And above all there is our Lord who sustains us. He wants us to count on Him, to lean on Him, and not to depend on others more than on Him. He is there for you, just like He was there for me. At all times.
Can you imagine how it was many years ago, when there was no phone or internet to talk to our heros? When women never heard from their loved ones unless a letter came?
Love you, God bless you.

Bet you all feel a bit like the little guy inside. As young as he is , later in life I don't think he will remember this.
Family visiting is great, be glad you have family to visit.
Peace to you all.
