I found this on a local online ad service. Unfortunately, hubby was not interested. He has since taken to making fun of me about it. =) I personally think it sounds like a wonderful pet and also a frugal investment. We would no longer need our alarm clocks with a rooster around. I'm sure the neighbors would thank us as well.
WANTED: Good home for purebred special needs houdan rooster
We have a beautiful purebred houdan rooster. He is about one year old. He was
stepped on when he was little and his leg was broken. He gets around fine, but
doesn't use his leg much. He is very healthy and robust....for pet only.....not
for eating!!!!

haha thats funny. Hey and I bet once its time is up it would make a wonderful chicken n dumplings dinner.
That's pretty funny! We had chickens when I was growing up. Even though they weren't supposed to be pets, my siblings and I named them...when it came time to butcher them we had a rough time:)
LOL that is so funny! You know, we used to raise three-legged chickens. Yep! They're a special breed we came up with. We love dark meat and so we were raising them for the legs. Everyone always asked, "How did they taste?" But we don't know...we were never able to catch one.
OK, now, this was a joke...my husband tells this story to people all the time. Of course, his version is a lot longer and always gets a huge laugh. I just had to share it with you on account of your post. LOL
