We've Been Invaded

By the sickies that is. We are all down with a really bad something or another right now. Tyler is currently on 5 medicines and a breathing treatment. Jack and I are just riding it out for now, but if he gets any worse I will have to take him to the ER per doctors orders. Boohoo. We are praying that it doesn't get that bad. Also, hubby is sick too. He always seems to get sick when he is gone. I think it is from all the germs on the airplane. So, if I'm not around for a few days now you know why.

Take care. Happy Super Bowl weekend. Who's playing anyway??

A Good Laugh

This is from the Comedy Barn in Pigeon Forge, TN. We went there once and Keith was pulled up on stage to be a back-up dancer. It was hillarious!

~Busy Week~

I feel like we have been going non-stop all week! And really, we have.

Sunday-Church
Monday-Baby Shower at Church
Tuesday-Over to some friends' house for dinner and to watch Expelled
Wednesday-Church
Thursday-Hubby went to help a man from church with finishing his basement
Today-Mega-cleaning day for me, super busy work day for him. Tonight he packs his bags for a while.
Tomorrow-He leaves. :-(

Some other things I have been up to are: lots of cleaning, organizing, planning, baking, making homemade yogurt and granola, filling out some paperwork that seriously had no less than 1000 questions, playing with my babies, and loving on my hubby.

Whew! Being busy is exhausting. But in a good way. I love feeling like I have accomplished something at the end of the day.

I hope you all are having a wonderful week. Enjoy your weekend!!

Christmas Pictures (Finally)

This Christmas we have the privilege of having my family here for Christmas. It was so nice to be in our own house with the boys and our family this year. This was a first for us. I felt like such a grown up. We had so much fun!

He Did It!

The littlest one has slept through the night (11-8) in his own bed for the past two nights! That is something we have only accomplished with the two year old twice in his entire life!!!! (Now you know why I walk around in a fog all the time.) You can guess what I'm hoping for tonight. Ahhh, that's right. More glorious sleep!

Have a blessed week.

~An Award~

Amy over at By His Grace has so sweetly give me an Attitude/Gratitude Award. I just want to say thank you so much! That really is quite humbling. I do try to live my life with the right attitude and full of gratitude, but I do struggle from time to time.
This award comes with some rules for passing on the love and they are as follows:
Put the logo on your blog or post. Nominate at least 10 blogs which show GREAT ATTITUDE and/or GRATITUDE! Be sure to link to your nominees within your post. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog. Share the love and link to this post and to the person from whom you received your award.
So, without further adieu...My 10 award recipients:
Arlene @ Ever Joyful
Chrissy @ Meaningful Days
Jesnicole @ Jessnicole
These are all great ladies, and I really enjoy all their blogs. Be sure to stop by their blogs and say hello.

A Lot of "New's" This New Year

New Age- New Years Day is my birthday. I am now 27 years young. It was a very low-key day for us, as there isn't much to do in our little town, especially on holidays. Everything but the Country Kitchen was closed, so that is where we had my birthday dinner. Hey, it was free. I had the Rib Basket in case you were wondering.

New Rank- As of New Years Day, my hubby is now a Master Sgt! Woohoo!!! Way to go honey!

New Decor- Friday my sweet hubby arranged for a babysitter for Tyler and took me to the city to get some new things for the house. We have lived in this house for a year and a half and the walls were almost all completely bare. I was able to get some very good deals which I will share with you next week. We spent most of the day today hanging them as well as doing some other things we have been putting off. The house seems so much more cozy already.

New Goals- Well, New Years of course means new resolutions. There are many areas I want to work on this year. When I think of all the areas in my life that need improvement, I think of that song "He's Still Working On Me" and it makes me smile. Some of the areas I want to work on this coming year are:

  • Consistency-in all areas
  • Hospitality
  • Giving More
  • Saving More
  • Creating More
  • Eating Healthier
  • Exercising More

There are other areas I want to work on as well. But these are some of the ones I will be sharing more about throughout the year. I hope you all have a wonderful New Year!
